Jason Lachance

Jason Lachance is a strategic CFO and business leader with more than 25 years of experience helping companies improve financial clarity, operational performance, and long-term scalability.

His background includes leadership roles as CFO, Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller, CEO, and Fractional CFO Consultant, giving him a well-rounded perspective on both financial strategy and day-to-day execution.

At Preferred CFO, Jason works with clients across industries including eCommerce, professional services, education, manufacturing, and healthcare. He supports leadership teams with forecasting, KPI development, financial modeling, cash flow planning, ERP implementation, and process improvement. He is especially skilled at helping organizations strengthen reporting, improve decision-making, and build the systems needed to support growth.

Jason also brings founder-level operating experience as Co-Founder and CEO of Vadiance Science, where he helped build a specialty supplement manufacturing and eCommerce business from the ground up. His work included financial oversight, systems integration, production planning, CRM and eCommerce alignment, and building the operational structure needed to support sales and fulfillment.

Earlier in his career, Jason served as CFO and Senior Vice President of dpiX LLC, a global medical sensor manufacturing company, where he partnered with executive leadership and the board on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, strategic planning, and operational initiatives. He also led cost reduction efforts, ERP implementation, and major process improvements that helped strengthen financial and operational performance.

Jason is known for combining strategic financial leadership with practical operational insight. He helps business owners and leadership teams move beyond reactive finance and build stronger, more scalable businesses.
