Amber has a passion for non-profit with significant experience in the Affordable Housing sector. Amber worked as Director of Finance for CARE Housing, Inc. where she helped managed tax credits and HUD rentals, then spent six years as CFO of Habitat for Humanity Fort Collins. In addition to non-profit experience, Amber has also spent over seven years in the real estate and construction industries, which contributed to the expertise she was able to provide at CARE Housing, Inc. and Habitat for Humanity. 

Amber has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, is a licensed real estate broker; has undergone Fair Housing, YASC, and LIHTC advanced training; is Dare to Lead certified, and has over 40+ hours of annual technical training from EKSH University. 

During her roles in finance and audit leadership, Amber has budgeted,prepared, supervised, reviewed, and presented 20+ audits per year for companies in excess of $30M in revenues. She has managed the finance and reporting functions for over 

14 entities and has been responsible for non-profit financial statements from entry through audit.
